Care for a Break?
We know that one of the things carers value most is the opportunity to take a break from their caring role.
Being a carer can be very rewarding but can be difficult and lonely. Many carers find that their own well-being and social life are impacted.
Are you are over 16? Do you feel that your mental health and well-being is at risk from the challenges of your caring role?
If so would you like to join us on one of our carers outings or activities ? We would love to meet you.
We are offering you the opportunity to join a small group of carers so you can meet, chat and make connections whilst enjoying some time for you. The trips will be at different venues across the county and will have a relaxed, informal atmosphere. One of our team will accompany you on the day and will be happy to have a chat with you if you need additional information or help.
We will be detailing the trips and activities on our website and social media sites.
What is included?
- Free entry to the event, attraction or activity
- Refreshments suited to the time of day.
- We are able to support the costs of respite care in certain circumstances to help ensure that you can join our outing or activity.
You will need to be able make you own way to the outing or venue.
At the moment our funding, kindly provided by the Mount Fund, supports the cost of one outing or activity per carer. However, where the the event is something free like a walk we would love you to join us again.
To find out more or to check whether we can assist with the cost of respite get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone on 01603 219924.

Due to the current restrictions in place as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic we have had to put our plans for “Care for a Break” on hold.
We are very grateful to the funder of the respite activities, The Mount Fund, who have agreed that we can extend the grant period to allow us to continue this service once restrictions have lifted.
Look forward to seeing you then.
